A video of the incident was taken during the band’s show at Leader Bank Pavilion and quickly spread on social media.

Fans were confused by what happened.

One person posted on X, saying, “The crowd was bemused.” They added that while some people were upset that the show ended early, others were excited because they might have witnessed “the last Janes A show ever.”

In the video, Farrell is seen singing and walking towards Navarro. He appears to push the guitarist, who continues playing. They exchange some words, but it’s hard to hear what they’re saying. Then, Farrell swings at Navarro. Several crew members, along with bassist Eric Avery, rush over to separate them. Farrell is then led off the stage by the crew.

Earlier this week, Farrell mentioned having trouble with his voice during a show in New York City. At a performance at the Rooftop at Pier 51, he told the audience, “Ladies and gentlemen, I have to be honest with you. Something’s wrong with my voice. I don’t know if you heard, but something’s gone wrong. I just can’t get the notes out all of a sudden.”

On Wednesday, Avery posted about the incident on Instagram, as the band was preparing for another show at the same venue that night. He wrote, “Looking forward to getting another crack at this spectacular rooftop venue tonight. I’m optimistic we will be better.”

It’s not clear yet if the remaining shows on the band’s reunion tour will continue as planned. Some fans are worried about the band’s future and about Farrell’s well-being.

One person wrote on X, “Ugh. Have ticket for next Friday in Detroit. Perry looks like he needs help.”

Others urged people not to jump to conclusions.

“We don’t know what Perry’s problem was the other night so let’s not assume. But if it’s alcohol/drugs, hopefully he’s not indulging tonight and coming back stronger than ever like he should and can! Perry is one of the best. Everyone has their bad nights,” another fan said. “The band is so solid right now!”
