In March, Ween cancelled their April tour dates. Dean Ween, also known as Mickey Melchiondo, said he needed to take a break for his mental health. He explained that he wanted to focus on himself and his loved ones. He apologized to fans and promised to return to performing with new energy and joy. Ween went back on tour for a short time this summer. However, on August 6, they canceled the remaining three dates of their 40th anniversary tour in Seattle, Portland, and Eugene after just three shows.

Ween recently reissued their 1994 album, Chocolate & Cheese. They were scheduled to perform a 30th anniversary show in Philadelphia on September 27 at TD Pavilion at the Mann. However, that concert has now been cancelled. Ween has announced that they won’t be touring again “for the foreseeable future.”

At the time, Deaner’s bandmate Gene Ween also shared a message in August, writing, “I’ve been getting tons of messages, know that I’m perfectly fine and just as disappointed.”
